This landmark, multi-tenanted commercial building on Chancery Lane needs an engineer who's confident around HV/LV systems and wants to work somewhere that actually invests in its plant. CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a leading FM provider for a Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join this flagship contract on Chancery Lane, London. The role pays £48,000 plus a £5,000 shift allowance and £3,000 HVAP payment, working a continental shift pattern of 07:00–19:00, 4 on 4 off, covering both days and nights, on a permanent basis. The Role: Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across the electrical infrastructure — distribution boards, switchgear, UPS, generators, lighting and power circuits Fault-finding and rectification on electrical systems and building services equipment Operating under LOTO procedures and taking ownership of HV safety and compliance where HVAP certified Monitoring building systems via the BMS and responding to alarms accordingly Supporting mechanical and HVAC systems as needed, alongside the core electrical workload Working within the Permit to Work system and supporting statutory compliance Overseeing specialist subcontractors on electrical works Managing site logbooks, RAMS and maintenance records Keeping plant areas clean, secure and in excellent working order Producing near-miss reports and contributing to site H&S compliance What You'll Bring: A recognised electrical qualification (C&G/NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent) HVAP status or a genuine willingness to work towards it A strong track record in commercial building services with an electrical focus Confidence with BMS and CAFM platforms (Maximo experience is a bonus) Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose faults under pressure Sharp communication skills and a proactive, safety-first mindset What's On Offer: £48,000 base + £5,000 shift allowance + £3,000 HVAP Continental shift pattern – 4 on 4 off, days and nights Generous holiday entitlement Overtime opportunities available Private healthcare options Stakeholder pension scheme Ongoing training, including HVAP courses and electrical CPD A long-term role on a flagship contract with genuine career progression Interested?
