Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Elevation Recruitment are looking for an Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join one of our Manufacturing Clients based in the Mirfield, West Yorkshire area with immediate effect!

Salary: £47,000 - £50,000

Location: Mirfield, West Yorkshire

Hours: Continental shift pattern – 2 days, 2 nights

Duties of an Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Provide Electrical and Mechanical support to both production and equipment at all times
• Starting on a days and afters shift for first few weeks to get to grips with the role
• Creating a concise log of events whilst doing all aspects of role including failure reports and PPM’s
• Always working to a continuous improvement plan to make the company and its employees the best it can be
• Ensure you are always compliant to health and safety standards
• Fault finding will be a part of the daily role on PLC’s – Siemans, Mitzubishi
• Attending to breakdowns and working to ensure machinery downtime is kept to a minimum
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance daily on machinery such as shredding machines, pulling machines, large ovens, guillotines, packaging machinery and inverters
• General fault-finding skills for repetitive breakdowns

Desired Experience:

• Must have a strong background within Electrical and Mechanical maintenance
• Apprentice trained with NVQ Level3, HNC/ HND/ ONC/ OND or equivalent in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
• Ideally have experience within a manufacturing environment previously
• Must have experience of fault finding on PLC’s
• Must be a team player, but also able to work from own initiative if needs be
• Be able to work to tight deadlines
• Must have experience within a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer role previously
• Other duties as and when required
