Electrical Maintenance Engineer - FMCG

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 base depending on experience

A leading FMCG manufacturer is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a key position in a fast-paced, high-output environment where uptime and efficiency are critical. The role offers long-term stability and continued investment in equipment, training, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance on high-speed production line machinery.
• Diagnose, repair and improve faults in electrical control systems, sensors, drives, and PLCs.
• Support the installation and commissioning of automated equipment and line upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and site procedures.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate records, fault logs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within FMCG, or other high-speed manufacturing.
• Confident working with fault-finding and repairs on PLC-controlled machinery, HMI interfaces, drives, and control panels.
• Ability to work independently and within a structured maintenance team.
• Strong awareness of health & safety and proactive in delivering safe engineering practices.
