Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Dudley
Salary: £33,123 – £36,000 (including shift allowance) + Overtime
Rotating Shifts: 6am–2pm | 2pm–10pm (possibility of nights in the future)

The Role You’ll be part of a two-person maintenance team on a rotating shift pattern, working alongside a Mechanical Engineer. Your focus will be on ensuring the electrical systems and equipment are running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

Carrying out both preventative and reactive electrical maintenance
Diagnosing and repairing faults during breakdowns
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety protocols
Completing daily shift reports and necessary documentation

Key Tasks

Electrical fault finding and repairs on industrial machinery
Working with control panels, motors, and sensors
Basic knowledge of PLCs (advantageous)
Participation in installation and commissioning of new equipment
Occasional support with mechanical tasks during breakdowns

What We’re Looking For

Completed Electrical Apprenticeship or time-served in a similar role
NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or Maintenance
Previous experience in heavy industry or steel processing (desirable)
Good understanding of safety procedures and electrical regulations
