We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established facilities maintenance team supporting a critical healthcare environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Electrician seeking a stable, long-term static position with opportunities for training, development, and career progression.
The Role
Working as part of the on-site engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, compliance activities, and contractor supervision across a complex building services environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in accordance with statutory requirements and maintenance schedules • Maintain and fault-find on electrical systems including LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, generators, UPS systems, control gear and small power installations • Support the operation of building services plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated controls • Respond to reactive maintenance requests and electrical breakdowns • Perform safe isolation, testing and fault diagnosis activities • Support critical infrastructure systems and ensure minimal disruption to site operations • Coordinate and supervise specialist subcontractors • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures, permits to work and site regulations • Maintain accurate maintenance records using CAFM systems • Assist with compliance inspections, audits and remedial works
Requirements
Essential
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations • Proven experience within electrical building services maintenance • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills • Experience working within critical environments such as healthcare, data centres, manufacturing or similar • Knowledge of emergency lighting and essential power systems
Desirable
• Test & Inspection Qualification (2391 or equivalent) • Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS) • Knowledge of healthcare or critical environment compliance standards • Experience supporting mechanical plant controls • AP/LV or HV awareness
