Execute planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery and plant equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime and maximise machine availability.
Perform fault finding on electrical systems, including sensors, switches, relays, motors, drives, and control circuits.
Install, repair, and maintain electrical cabling, wiring systems, and machine control equipment.
Support machine upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
Conduct PLC fault finding and diagnostics to identify and rectify machine issues.
Assist with the commissioning and testing of machinery and equipment.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and update documentation as required.
Liaise effectively with production teams to ensure efficient resolution of equipment issues.
Support contractors and external service providers as necessary.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
Contribute to the development of preventative maintenance schedules and best practises.
Provide technical support to operators and production personnel.

About You:
Essential:

Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC, or equivalent).
Proven experience in an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Electrician role within manufacturing.
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Familiarity with sensors, switches, contactors, motors, and control panels.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Experience in PLC fault-finding.
Knowledge of preventative and reactive maintenance practises.Desirable:

Familiarity with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Experience working with PLC systems such as, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or similar.
Exposure to continuous improvement or TPM methodologies.Skills & Attributes:

Excellent electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and machine controls.
Practical, hands-on approach to maintenance activities.
Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Proactive and safety-conscious mindset.
