Electrical Maintenance Technician

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their on-site team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong electrical background to play a vital role in maintaining and improving production operations in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: £44,000 + plus shift allowance

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour rotating shifts (days,evenings and nights). Overtime and on-call weekend availability required.

Type: Permanent

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across a wide range of production equipment
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance with a focus on electrical systems
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and procedures
• Support the integration and maintenance of control panels, sensors, and automation systems
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in a manufacturing or production setting
• Strong electrical bias (ideally 70:30 electrical to mechanical)
• Proficient in working with single-phase and 3-phase systems
• Experience with heater systems, safety circuits, and fault-finding on control systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with PLCs, automation, and robotics
• Experience with power distribution, motor control, and variable speed drives
• Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field
