About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to oversee electrical delivery on a major commercial project (fit-out / shell & core / office block / retail centre / mixed use). This is a freelance position requiring strong technical knowledge, proven leadership, and the ability to drive standards, safety, programme, and quality on site.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all electrical activities on site, including electricians and subcontractors

*

Review and interpret drawings, specifications, design information, and ensure full compliance on site

*

Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality checks of installation works

*

Liaise closely with project managers, site managers, and other trade leads to ensure smooth coordination

*

Champion health & safety standards: ensure RAMS, PPE, permits, and safe systems of work are adhered to

*

Review testing & inspection documentation, commissioning paperwork, and ensure completeness

*

Monitor progress, highlight risks or delays, and implement corrective actions where required

*

Lead snagging, defect resolution, and support the handover process

*

Maintain accurate reporting: daily/weekly site reports, labour tracking, materials records, and progress updates

Required Qualifications & Experience

*

Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Manager or Electrical Supervisor on commercial or industrial projects

*

Demonstrable site management and supervisory experience

*

Valid ECS Gold Card

*

SSSTS certification

*

Full UK Driving Licence
