Electrical Manager – Commercial Construction (Site Based)

We are recruiting an experienced Site-Based Electrical Manager to oversee electrical installations on a major commercial construction project.

The successful candidate must have a strong background in electrical design coordination, High Voltage (HV) systems and the delivery of complex electrical installations within commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and coordinate all electrical works on site, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality standards.

* Review electrical designs, drawings and technical specifications, identifying design issues and coordinating solutions.

* Oversee HV and LV electrical installations, including substations, transformers, switchgear and distribution systems.

* Liaise with electrical designers, consultants, subcontractors and the wider construction management team.

* Manage electrical subcontractors, monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.

* Coordinate electrical testing, commissioning, inspections and handover.

* Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, site safety procedures and project requirements.

Essential Requirements

* Proven experience as an Electrical Manager on major commercial construction projects.

* Valid SMSTS

* Strong electrical design knowledge and design coordination experience.

* Demonstrable experience managing HV electrical installations and distribution systems.

* Experience delivering complex electrical packages within commercial buildings.

* Excellent understanding of HV/LV systems, testing and commissioning.

* Strong subcontractor management and site coordination skills.

* Relevant electrical qualifications.

Desirable Project Experience: Large commercial buildings, data centres, major office developments etc
