Electrical Panel Builder / Wiring Technician

Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

We are recruiting exclusively for a growing engineering and manufacturing business looking to strengthen its electrical assembly team.

With a busy order book and continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Panel Builder or Wiring Technician to join a fast-paced production environment, with genuine opportunities for training, development and career progression.

The Role

* Build and wire Low Voltage (LV) switchgear, distribution boards and electrical control panels.

* Work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.

* Assemble electrical panels from component level through to final build.

* Install copper busbars, complete panel layouts and carry out electrical wiring.

* Ensure all work meets quality standards, customer specifications and production deadlines.

* Work closely with the wider production team to maintain output and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience in electrical panel building, wiring or electrical assembly.

* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

* Experience working with LV switchgear, distribution boards or control panels.

* Confident with hands-on electrical assembly and wiring.

* Strong attention to detail and a good understanding of electrical safety.

* Relevant electrical apprenticeship, Level 3 qualification or equivalent practical experience.
