Electrical Project Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturer of special purpose machinery, to help them recruit an Electrical Project Manager for their site near Barnsley.

Our client is one of the UK's leading companies for the design, build, installation and maintenance of recycling machinery. They supply a full range of bespoke machinery to a variety of industries and provide unrivalled after sales support. 

We are looking for an Electrical Project Manager to lead complex machine solutions, engineering field support, machinery relocations and equipment modifications.

Role responsibilities:

• Working as a key member of the technical team, collaborating with our machinery compliance specialists, manufacturing management, in-house CAD team and sales managers on a variety of applications
• Contributing to the smooth execution of customer and internal technical projects
• Assisting with technical queries from customers, suppliers and our own sales and service teams
• Providing technical support and consultancy for turnkey bespoke system design, build, and installation projects
• Supporting development and maintenance of product Operator Manuals and Technical Files

Essential requirements

• Prior experience working in a project management capacity within a technical/engineering sector
• Experience and formal training in Electrical/Control Engineering
• Technical authorship skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experienced and proficient in the use of IT, inclusive of standard tools such as Microsoft Office, extending to project management software
• Good knowledge and understanding of machinery/industrial equipment - electrical control systems/hydraulics/mechanical engineering

• Maintain high attention to detail
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and business acumen, with the ability to challenge and champion change
• Be willing to learn and develop skillsets with a growth mindset
• Have a good understanding of Electrical, Hydraulic and Mechanical engineering, with any qualifications being an advantage
