Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and coordinate electrical works on a high-end residential development in Cardiff. This role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle-from planning and procurement through to commissioning and handover-ensuring all electrical installations are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities of an Electrical Project Manager:

• Manage and coordinate all electrical aspects of the project from pre-construction through to completion.
• Work closely with the site team, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Set and monitor project milestones, ensuring timely progress and adherence to programme.
• Oversee the preparation and review of installation drawings, commissioning plans, and handover documentation.
• Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Resolve technical and operational issues efficiently to avoid delays.
• Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain quality control and ensure all electrical installations meet required benchmarks.

Requirements of an Electrical Project Manager:

• Proven experience managing electrical packages on high-value residential or commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of building services, including design principles, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services).
• Experience in the energy from waste sector or similar is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• First Aid and Health & Safety qualifications preferred.
