Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading building services provider on a prestigious, brand-new skyscraper in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to work in a state-of-the-art commercial environment with long-term career prospects, training, and progression.

You will be responsible for carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across all electrical building services systems while assisting with mechanical plant when required. Working on a continental shift rota, you’ll play an essential role in keeping the building operating efficiently 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out all PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical building services

*

Fault-finding and diagnostics on electrical systems, panels, and plant

*

Maintain and repair LV distribution, lighting, UPS, generators, and control systems

*

Support mechanical maintenance tasks as part of a multi-skilled shift team

*

Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures

*

Complete job sheets, reports, and logbooks accurately

*

Provide a high level of service within a premium commercial environment

Requirements

*

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installations or equivalent

*

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)

*

Proven experience in a commercial building services or critical environment

*

Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding skills

*

Ability to work independently on shift and respond to issues quickly

*

Good communication and teamwork skills
