Salary: £45,000 per annum, plus on-call payments and excellent overtime rates of x1.5 and x2—giving you real scope to increase your overall earnings. Hours and Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday A rotating shift pattern offers variety across the working week: Early shift: 6:00am–2:30pm Day shift: 8:00am–5:00pm Late shift: 1:30pm–10:00pm On-call: A shared rota of just one week in nine, with additional payments available.
About the Role This varied, hands-on position will see you delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, additional works and emergency response across electrical and mechanical systems. You’ll help keep a prestigious site operating safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver planned preventative maintenance in line with agreed schedules and procedures, maintaining high engineering standards and maximising the reliability of plant and associated electrical and mechanical systems. Work safely and consistently in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act and all relevant site procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation for planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance. Respond promptly and effectively to reactive maintenance issues and helpdesk requests. Coordinate initial responses to client requests and keep stakeholders informed. Coordinate specialist subcontractors supporting electrical and mechanical maintenance schedules. Attend call-outs, breakdowns and emergencies relating to electrical and mechanical services when required. Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs during both planned and reactive maintenance. Repair and maintain lighting and electrical distribution systems. Support other trades and work flexibly across disciplines where required. Produce clear reports on completed work, equipment condition and follow-up actions. Undertake other reasonable duties requested by the client to support effective site operations. Work collaboratively with the wider team to complete tasks safely and efficiently. Develop and maintain a sound understanding of site-based systems and how they interact. Carry out LSP duties in line with L8 requirements when needed. Work primarily at the client’s main campus in Woking, with occasional travel to other local buildings and, where business-critical, further afield.About You
Essential Skills and Experience City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation (2360), or a recognised equivalent qualification. Health and safety training, including a working knowledge of risk assessments and method statements. Experience in a similar maintenance role, including fault diagnosis and rectification. Experience delivering electrical elements of general building PPM schedules. Practical experience in electrical installation, testing and inspection. A good understanding of critical and non-critical building systems. Experience using a CAFM/PPM management system, ideally Concept, via a handheld device.
Desirable City & Guilds Electrical Inspection and Testing, or equivalent. 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations. Knowledge and understanding of Building Management Systems. A good basic understanding of mechanical systems. Knowledge of COSHH and the safe handling of substances.
