This is a single-person site role, offering autonomy and responsibility for the day-to-day running of building services within a prestigious commercial environment. The Role: • Acting as the sole on-site engineer responsible for all building services. • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works. • Managing subcontractors, permits to work and site compliance. • Overseeing building systems including HVAC, electrical and mechanical plant. • Supporting planned maintenance and project works, including out-of-hours activities. • Participating in building shutdowns when required. • Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards. Package: • £55,000 basic salary • Monday to Friday working pattern (8am–5pm) • Call-out rota 1 in 1 (£75 standby – approx. £4,000 per year, low call-outs) • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays • Season ticket loan (after qualifying period) • Pension scheme • Life insurance (x2 salary) • Private medical healthcare (including dental, optical and audio) • Additional benefits and reward schemes after probation • Ongoing training and progression opportunities Requirements: • Electrical or Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent). • Experience working within commercial building services environments. • Ability to work independently and manage a site autonomously. • Experience managing subcontractors and site compliance processes. • Strong communication and organisational skills.
