Bradford, permanent role, no working away, regular hours with overtime available
We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Supervisor or Lead Installation Electrician to take a hands-on supervisory role within a busy manufacturing and workshop environment. This is a permanent position with no working away, ideal for a qualified electrician who enjoys leading a small team while staying actively involved in industrial and commercial installation work.
Your role as Electrical Supervisor / Lead Installation Electrician will include:
Supervising, supporting and assigning work to electrical team members on a daily basis Ensuring SOPs, procedures, health and safety standards and PPE requirements are followed Maintaining schedules, preparing reports and documentation, and returning red pen drawings to the Design team Attending production meetings and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues Remaining hands-on with electrical installation works within a workshop and manufacturing environment Working from block cable diagrams, electrical drawings and engineering drawings Installing cable containment including trunking, conduit, cable tray, basket and dividers Pulling in, running and terminating SWA armoured cable Installing outdoor armoured cable glands, cable markers and identifiers Glanding and connecting control panels Completing 1st and 2nd fix accessories and building services installation Completing earthing, bonding, dead testing, quality checks and electrical sign off as required Assisting with testing, commissioning, fault finding and corrective action
Promoting a clean, safe, positive and collaborative working environment
You will be:
A fully qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3, AM2 and 18th Edition Experienced in industrial, commercial, plant, manufacturing or workshop electrical installation Confident leading or supervising electricians while remaining hands-on Able to read, interpret and guide others on electrical and engineering drawings Experienced with stainless steel conduit, basket, tray and containment systems Experienced in running, glanding and terminating SWA armoured cables A strong communicator with good written and verbal skills Organised, detail-focused and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines Safety-conscious, with the ability to support toolbox talks, workshop checks and continuous improvement NICEIC knowledge, 2391 testing and inspection, or experience with AutoCAD/Vault would be beneficial
