We are a growing Building Technical Services provider delivering electrical and mechanical services across a portfolio of commercial contracts. Due to continued growth and upcoming contract awards, we are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (QS) to lead our electrical compliance function and support the continued development of the electrical division.
Role Overview
This is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing electrical compliance, testing and inspection activities across multiple contracts. The successful candidate will act as the company's Electrical Qualifying Supervisor, ensuring all works meet regulatory and NICEIC requirements while supporting clients, subcontractors and internal operational teams.
The role combines hands-on technical expertise with supervisory and stakeholder management responsibilities and would suit someone looking to step into a broader leadership position within a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Technical
Act as the company's Electrical Qualifying Supervisor. Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations and industry standards. Oversee Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs). Carry out and review testing & inspection activities. Support and manage NICEIC audit requirements. Ensure all certification and documentation is completed accurately. Provide technical guidance across multiple sites and contracts.Client & Contractor Management
Act as the technical point of contact for clients. Liaise with subcontractors and monitor service delivery. Carry out subcontractor audits and performance reviews. Support contract managers with technical issues and project delivery. Attend client meetings when required.Operational Support
Lead and support the Electrical Department. Undertake site inspections and quality audits. Assist Health & Safety teams with compliance initiatives. Support mobilisation of new contracts. Contribute to department growth and continuous improvement.Additional Duties
PAT Testing oversight. Quality assurance inspections. Technical reporting. Mentoring junior engineers and supervisors.Essential Requirements
Recognised electrical apprenticeship (time-served electrician). NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent. City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent). Previous experience operating as a Qualifying Supervisor or Senior Electrical Supervisor. Strong knowledge of testing, inspection and certification. Experience preparing for or managing NICEIC audits. Excellent understanding of electrical compliance and safety regulations. Full UK Driving Licence. Ability to travel across multiple client sites.Desirable Requirements
Previous Building Services or Facilities Management experience. Experience managing subcontractors. Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH). Contract or client-facing experience. Experience leading electrical teams.Personal Attributes
