About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to join a busy social housing contract covering Portsmouth and surrounding PO postcode areas.

The role will focus on carrying out testing, inspection, fault finding, remedial works, and electrical upgrades within occupied social housing properties. You will be responsible for bathroom and kitchen circuit testing and rectification, along with associated first fix, second fix, and remedial electrical works.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-sufficient engineer looking for consistent work, a supplied vehicle, and an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out electrical testing and inspection works within social housing properties.

* Test and rectify bathroom and kitchen circuits.

* Complete electrical fault finding and remedial works.

* Undertake first fix and second fix electrical installations.

* Complete all certification and compliance paperwork accurately.

* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current regulations and company standards.

* Maintain a professional approach when working in occupied homes.

Essential Requirements

* City & Guilds 2391 or 2394 & 2395 Inspection & Testing qualifications.

* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

* Previous experience within social housing environments.

* Strong testing, inspection and fault-finding experience.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

* Own tools.
