Rise10 Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a long-established and highly respected manufacturer of bespoke Low Voltage Electrical Control Panels to recruit an experienced Electrical Test Engineer.

With over 50 years of expertise within the industry, our client has built an outstanding reputation for quality, engineering excellence and customer service. Every project is bespoke, meaning no two days are the same, offering a varied and technically rewarding working environment.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to add another Electrical Test Engineer to their experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that genuinely values its employees, with many members of staff having enjoyed careers spanning more than 20 years.

The Role

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality, safety and performance of bespoke Low Voltage Electrical Control Panels before they are delivered to customers.

* Testing and fault-finding on Low Voltage Electrical Control Panel assemblies.

* Identifying, recording and communicating build or functionality issues.

* Conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) alongside customers and design engineers.

* Working from electrical schematic drawings to verify the safety and operation of control panels.

* Collaborating closely with the Production and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues.

* Ensuring all testing is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong electrical background who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

* Electrical qualification such as ONC, City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent.

* Previous experience testing Low Voltage Electrical Control Panels or Motor Control Centres (MCCs).

* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.

* Good understanding of the current IEE Wiring Regulations and electrical standards.

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

* Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise with engineers and customers.

* Good understanding of electrical health and safety.

* High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

* Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
