Electrical Testing & Remedial Engineer

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a number of experienced Electrical Testing & Remedial Engineers to work on a long-term social housing contract across Lincoln, Grantham and Cambridge.

We are looking for skilled, reliable electricians who are confident carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), identifying electrical faults and completing associated remedial works.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced testing engineers looking for consistent, long-term work with strong earning potential.

The Role

* Carry out EICR inspections and testing within occupied social housing properties.

* Identify and rectify C1 and C2 electrical faults.

* Complete associated electrical remedial works to the required standards.

* Accurately complete electrical certification using EasyCert software.

* Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.

* Complete approximately 4–6 properties per day, subject to workload and access.

Rates & Earning Potential

* £45 per completed EICR test.

* Additional remedial works paid separately on a Schedule of Rates (SOR).

* Potential earnings of approximately £320–£600 per day, depending on the volume and type of work completed.

* Consistent workload available across the contract.

Requirements

* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent recognised Level 3 qualification.

* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification or equivalent.

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

* Previous experience completing EICRs within social housing properties.

* Confident carrying out C1/C2 remedial works.

* Experience using EasyCert certification software would be beneficial.

* Valid DBS certificate.

* Full UK driving licence.

* Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads.
