Electrician

Electrician opportunity available with our client, a long-established Hampshire-based industrial engineering specialist with over 35 years of experience delivering mechanical and electrical services across the marine, defence, and commercial sectors.

Due to consistent expansion, our client is looking for an experienced ATEX Electrician to join their team, carrying out electrical installations, inspections/testing, fault-finding, and maintenance on a range of electrical equipment on sites such as Royal Navy and MOD facilities.

The work will largely be across the Hampshire and Sussex regions, but there will be the requirement to work away at times, which will include additional pay uplifts and full expenses paid for travel and accommodation.

Electrician Job Requirements

• Fully Qualified Electrician, with a full electrical apprenticeship completed
• Minimum 18th Edition and 2391 Inspection and Testing qualified
• 1+ years' experience working on ATEX-certified equipment, including installations and/or inspection works
• Either currently holding SC/DV clearance, or the ability to obtain these
• Full UK driving licence
• Based within a 1-hour commute of Portsmouth, Hampshire
• Comfortable with working away occasionally

Electrician Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary from £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience
• Company van
• Paid travel and accommodation when working away
• Overtime starting at 1.5x
• Any work away will be paid at 10 hours each day, no matter the amount of hours work, and all hours will be paid at a 20% uplift
