Job Title: Electrician

Location: Glasgow - Govan and Scotstoun (Site-based)

Salary: £37,318 per annum

Additional Compensation: Shift allowance of 33% may be applicable

We are seeking skilled and qualified Electricians to join our team in Glasgow, working across the Govan and Scotstoun shipyard sites. Candidates must be able to attend an in-person recruitment day in Glasgow.

• Install various types of electrical cables (multi-core, single-core, coaxial) and systems, including junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, switches, and other components.

• Perform cable terminations and install electrical equipment to required standards.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Collaborate with shipbuilding and engineering teams to meet project deadlines.

• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

• Completion of a Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a marine installation or large-scale industrial environment.

• Strong understanding of relevant trade drawings and technical specifications.

• Familiarity with safety assessments and procedures (Risk Assessments, PUWER, COSHH).

• Competency in electrical equipment mounting and cable termination to professional standards.

• Knowledge of safe systems of work, including the tag-out process and "prove dead" procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to work safely and efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
