Working Hours: 37 hours per week - You will be required to work these hours in accordance with the needs and requirements of the service, between the hours of 6am and 8pm Monday to Friday

Salary: Grade H – starting salary is £40,777 (level 1) raising to £44,075 (level 4) per annum

About the Role

As an Electrician within our Planned and Investment team, you will play a key role in providing safe, high‑quality homes for our residents. You’ll carry out a broad range of electrical tasks, including installations, rewires, testing, fault‑finding and certification, ensuring all work meets statutory and landlord obligations. Your work will help maintain homes to a good standard, support tenant wellbeing, and contribute to positive landlord–tenant relationships.

You will install and maintain electrical systems such as consumer units, heating and ventilation, fitted water heating, photovoltaic panels, and other housing‑related electrical assets. You’ll also help ensure homes remain safe by identifying and reporting any issues that could pose an immediate health or safety risk, including damp, mould, or safeguarding concerns.

Working with professionalism and care, you’ll complete repairs, carry out preventative maintenance, and minimise inconvenience for residents. You may also undertake low‑risk asbestos-related tasks where required, and support apprentices or colleagues through training and mentoring.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Experienced in all aspects of electrical work and will need to hold relevant qualifications/certifications including: 2391 for testing inspecting electrical installations (EICR), and 2395, 18th edition electrical, testing and inspection


2. Experience in repairs, new build, maintenance, or contract environments, including assessing and inspecting jobs, and updating records.


3. The ability to use the necessary power tools and plant safely, as well as the ability to follow all safety procedures on and off-site.


4. Experience of carrying out investigations and tests to identify faults and the root cause of issues, and implement lasting solutions.


5. Ability to use elements of the skills of other general trades to meet the target of first-time fix where it is efficient and appropriate to do so.


6. Ability to demonstrate an organised but flexible approach, and the ability to meet deadlines
