Electrician - Social Housing

Nelson Permanent Placements are recruiting for electricians for a leading social housing contractor for a large ongoing project in the Warwickshire area.

Working within the responsive maintenance division the role requires the successful candidate to be involved in repairs and replacements in customers homes.

Every 5-6 weeks 1 week on call with bonus fee paid

Key Responsibilities

* Responsive Repairs: Diagnose, trace, and repair electrical faults in tenanted and void domestic properties.

* Testing & Inspection: Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and complete required safety remedial works.

* Component Upgrades: Install and replace consumer units (fuse boards), smoke alarms, lighting, switches, showers, and modern extraction/ventilation systems.

* Digital Scheduling: Manage daily job allocations, logging completion details and certificates efficiently using a handheld mobile device.

* Customer Care: Provide professional, empathetic, and courteous service inside residents' homes.

Requirements

* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or City & Guilds equivalent).

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification.

* City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing qualification (highly desirable).

* Proven experience in domestic reactive repairs, social housing frameworks, or void refurbishments.

* A Full UK Driving Licence (essential for company vehicle insurance).

* Ability to clear a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
