Job Summary:
- Our Client is a small but ambitious engineering company, they're a friendly bunch who specialise in repairs to vehicle ECUs, from trucks to buses, to tractors, combines and cranes and much more! We're looking to find our next team member to join us as we plan our growth for the future, specifically we need someone to work on the more mechanical side of things - testing and rebuilding hydraulic control units.
- A suitable person would have some experience with hydraulics, light engineering capabilities and a knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics. Someone who can roll their sleeves up and jump into a busy working environment. If you're looking for a role where you can take on responsibility, then this could be for you. Since we're a small company, the role (and salary) will be tailored to suit the right candidate.
The Specifics
Essential:
We need someone who has light engineering skills such as drilling/tapping, removing stuck fasteners, using power tools etc. Alongside that, basic knowledge of vehicle systems and basic hydraulic knowledge. Basic electronic knowledge, being familiar with Ohms Law, volts/amps etc is a must have. Any experience in stock monitoring and management is also an advantage.

Preferred:
Some previous hydraulics experience would be ideal, and if you have some basic automotive electronics experience with HGV/Bus vehicles and are familiar with vehicle diagnostics that would be advantageous. Finally, experience rebuilding mechanical assemblies like gearboxes, alternators, motors etc would be very useful.
Working hours are Mon-Fri 8.00am - 4.30pm, they close on bank holidays and Xmas until the new year, plus a good holiday allowance. Salary is definitely negotiable for the right person who can really get stuck in and become part of our team.
