An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electronic Beam Welder  to join Rolls-Royce.

What you will be doing:

• Build tooling and load parts onto tooling
• Concentricity and alignment checks
• Autonomous machine maintenance and process controls.
• Maintaining part traceability
• Welding of Compressor drums, Shaft, Blisk assemblies and other parts
• Contribute to process improvement activities and methods of managing process risks (PFMEA)

Position requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Follow complex build sequences
• Experience of using CNC machinery
• Computer literacy (use of web pages, spreadsheets)
• Lifting and slinging trained

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience of using Statistical Process Control charts
• Appreciate the importance of Process compliance and attention to detail.
• Appreciation of Critical Part Control
• Experience of obtaining axial concentricity through manual clocking
