Engineering Project Coordinator (Electronics)

You will step into a structured development pathway designed to elevate your technical coordination skills into full project management capability. By shadowing experienced managers within the defence manufacturing sector, you will take ownership of minor packages and gain the concrete experience needed to run your own major engineering projects. This position offers a distinct route to career progression within a high-technology production environment.

What you will be doing
 
Supporting engineering project management teams to deliver high-value electronics projects to time, cost and quality targets.
Assisting with bid management activities, project scheduling and technical supply chain coordination.
Shadowing senior managers to learn best practice and project governance methods.
Manipulating project data to track progress and reporting findings to delivery teams.
Who we are looking for
 
British nationality is required due to security constraints.
Demonstrable exposure to or understanding of electronic engineering product development.
A solid track record of experience working within a technical engineering context.
Familiarity with project management fundamentals including basic Primavera P6 scheduling or data manipulation in Excel.
Client-facing potential with the ability to communicate and influence across diverse technical teams.
Skills and background
A technical degree, ideally focused on electronics engineering or a related discipline.
Proactive approach with the ability to multi-task across different technical projects.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to guide project contributors.
A passion for professional development and a desire to move into full project management.

Where you will be based

The position is located in Hertfordshire. The working pattern is hybrid, requiring one or two days on-site each week to collaborate with the team, with the remaining days worked remotely.

Due to the nature of work at our client’s site, these vacancies are only open to British Citizens who hold SC clearance or can obtain it.

This is a permanent role.
