We’re working with a well-established engineering firm based in Solihull, and they’re looking for a skilled Electronics Engineer to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role focused on repairing, maintaining, and upgrading portable Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) equipment - ideal for someone with strong PCB repair skills and a background in electronics fault-finding.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reverse engineer legacy systems to improve reliability and eliminate recurring issues
  • Support system upgrades and product enhancements across the fleet

  • Excellent PCB repair skills including soldering, component replacement, and circuit testing
  • Confident working with microcontrollers, RF systems, sensors, and power electronics
  • Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and technical documentation
  • Familiar with test and measurement equipment used in diagnostics and validation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team

Desirable extras:

  • Knowledge of low-power or battery-operated systems
  • Experience working on traffic management systems, LED displays, or industrial controls
  • Understanding of wireless technologies (e.g. radio, GSM, LoRa)

Qualifications:
