Embedded Linux Engineer

We’re looking for an Embedded Linux Engineer to join an innovative technology organisation developing advanced computer graphics and digital display solutions used across a range of global industries.

This is an opportunity to work on technology deployed in demanding environments across sectors including healthcare, digital signage, security, retail, aviation and sports.

Working across the full product lifecycle, your responsibilities will include:

* Designing, building and maintaining embedded Linux platforms.

* Creating and managing system images, releases, upgrades and patching.

* Implementing security hardening across embedded Linux environments.

* Supporting the reliability and availability of production systems.

* Developing and maintaining CI/CD and build pipelines, using Azure DevOps.

* Supporting build and test server infrastructure, networking and associated configuration.

* Automating processes and improving operational efficiency through monitoring, reporting and DevOps practices.

* Acting as a technical escalation point for complex Linux and infrastructure issues.

About You

We’re looking for a technically strong and proactive Linux Engineer with experience across embedded and/or server environments.

You’ll ideally have:

* End-to-end experience with Linux-based solutions, from design and development through to deployment and ongoing support.

* Experience working with embedded Linux environments.

* A strong understanding of infrastructure, networking and server environments.

* Experience with system security and hardening.

* Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, ideally with Azure DevOps.

* An interest in automation and improving engineering processes.

* The ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and translate requirements into practical solutions.

* Experience acting as a technical escalation point and sharing knowledge with other teams.

* Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
