Embedded Software Engineer - The Role:
Develop and maintain PLC, embedded and PC-based control systems Work with microcontrollers, electronics, HMI/GUI and control systems Develop software using C/C++, C#, Python, Ladder Logic and Structured Text Test, troubleshoot and validate complex control systems Support FAT, SAT and customer installations Diagnose hardware and software issues both in-house and on customer sites Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement Develop safe, reliable systems including software/hardware interlocks Maintain technical documentation, version control and engineering records Work closely with engineering teams and customers to deliver effective solutions Embedded Software Engineer - The Person:
Experience in software, embedded controls or electronics engineering Strong knowledge of electronics and analogue/digital systems Experience with embedded control systems or microcontrollers Strong software development and problem-solving skills Experience with GUI/HMI development 4+ years' relevant industrial experience preferred Experience with scientific equipment, vacuum technology or bespoke automation would be advantageous Willing to travel within the UK and overseas Degree in a relevant discipline desirable, but relevant experience will be considered What's on Offer:
