Job Description - Employment Associate

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Employment Associate (2+ PQE) to join their growing Employment team based in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside rising talent within a close-knit and highly collaborative team.

This role offers a dynamic mix of contentious and advisory employment work, along with a clear development path, regular client contact, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to long-term client relationships. You'll enjoy a balance of independence and support, in a culture known for openness, progression, and genuine work-life balance.

Requirements

In this role, you will:

  • Handle a varied caseload including tribunal litigation, employee relations advice, and broader employment advisory matters.

  • Work directly with employer clients across a wide range of sectors, supporting them on complex and business-critical employment law issues.

  • Play a key role in ongoing client relationships, contributing to business development and the delivery of commercially focused solutions.

  • Collaborate with a national team of employment experts and specialists in advocacy, corporate transactions, and business immigration.

  • Receive hands-on guidance and mentoring while being given the space to develop your own professional voice and client approach.

This is a hybrid role offering flexible working arrangements, typically three days in the office and two days working from home.

Benefits

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, driven lawyer with:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in employment law, preferably with a focus on contentious matters.

  • Solid experience handling tribunal claims and providing employment-related advice to employer clients.

  • A commercial approach and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A collaborative mindset and an eagerness to be part of a friendly, inclusive, and high-performing team.

  • A desire to contribute to the growth of the team and the wider firm through relationship building and knowledge sharing.
