About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and pragmatic Employment Solicitor to join our expanding legal team. Based primarily in Kent, with regular access to our Mayfair office, this role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients—from SMEs to high network individuals and entrepreneurs—on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

You will be instrumental in advising clients on complex employment law issues, representing them in tribunals, and supporting HR teams with day-to-day legal guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise employers and employees on all aspects of employment law
• Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and handbooks
• Handle employment tribunal claims, including advocacy where appropriate
• Advise on redundancy, disciplinary, grievance, and dismissal procedures
• Support corporate transactions with employment due diligence and TUPE advice
• Deliver training sessions and workshops for clients on employment law topics
• Keep abreast of legal developments and contribute to client briefings and updates

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ years PQE in employment law
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law
• Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills
• Experience handling tribunal claims and advisory work
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
• Willingness to travel between Kent and Mayfair offices as required

Desirable:

• Experience advising clients in regulated sectors (e.g., healthcare, finance, education)
• Familiarity with international employment law issues
• Interest in business development and client relationship management
