Are you an experienced Employment Solicitor seeking your next challenge within a highly respected and forward-thinking UK law firm? Our client, a Top 200 firm with over 400 professionals across six offices, is looking to hire an Employment Solicitor for its well-regarded team in Bishop’s Stortford.

The Role:

As an Employment Solicitor, you will handle a broad caseload encompassing both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. You’ll work with a varied client base including individuals, SMEs, professional partnerships and larger corporates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients at Employment Tribunal hearings including preliminary and full trials
• Advise on employment matters such as redundancy, TUPE, discrimination, maternity rights, disciplinary and grievance procedures and unfair/wrongful dismissal
• Draft and negotiate settlement agreements and contracts of employment
• Proactively manage client relationships, providing tailored and commercially sound legal advice
• Contribute to business development and knowledge sharing across the team

About You:

• A qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 2+ years’ PQE in employment law
• Confident advocate with experience handling Tribunal matters
• Commercially minded with a strong understanding of client needs in both corporate and personal contexts
• Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit, supportive team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive approach and genuine interest in employment law developments
