Employment Solicitor

I am delighted to be working with a highly regarded legal practice based in Oxford who are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor with the opportunity to take the lead in developing and growing an Employment Law department.
This is a fantastic opportunity which would suit an established Head of Department or Director, but equally someone who is ready for their next career step and looking for a genuine promotion.
We?re looking for someone with the gravitas, commercial approach and ambition to lead a department, build relationships and grow the Employment Law offering. You don?t need to be doing this role already, what?s important is that you have the experience, confidence and desire to step up.
The role includes:
? Leading and developing the Employment team
? Advising senior stakeholders, including Board members and HR
? Handling complex employment matters including ER, restructures, redundancies, whistleblowing and senior exits
? Managing employment litigation and tribunal claims
? Advising on contracts, policies, settlement agreements and restrictive covenants
? Supporting M&A and organisational change
? Developing client relationships and growing the Employment Law offering
About you:
? Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent)
? Strong Employment Law background with 8?10+ years' PQE
? Excellent knowledge of UK Employment Law
? Commercial, pragmatic and confident with senior stakeholders
? Strong leadership and people management skills
? Gravitas and credibility, with the ability to build trust with clients and senior colleagues
? Ambition to grow and develop a department
