Employment Solicitor

One of my private Law Firm clients based in London are currently recruiting for an Employment Solicitor. This is a permanent part time position to work 3 days in the office 9:30am to 5:30pm non-negotiable.

Main purpose of Post/Job Summary

The successful candidate will have at least 1 years solid employment law experience, will be driven, professional and proactive, with an engaging and polite telephone manner. The ability to self-develop and learn new skills quickly is essential. The role involves dealing with employment matters, contentious and non-contentious.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To organise diaries, schedule meetings and respond to telephone queries.
• Provide HR/Employment law advice to clients
• Prepare for employment tribunal hearings and comply with employment tribunal orders.
• Draft HR documents such as contracts, and proofread documents.
• Negotiate contracts and legal documents.
• To organise case files, attend court/tribunals, transcribe legal opinion and compile litigation bundles.
• To take witness statements
• Conduct legal research in a timely manner.
• To carry out general administrative tasks including writing letters, sending emails, data input and filing documents.
