Employment Solicitor / Legal Executive

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2+ years’ PQE to join a busy and established Employment team based in Telford.

The role will primarily involve advising SME clients who subscribe to an ongoing HR support service, providing practical and commercially focused employment law advice.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced employment professional who enjoys working closely with businesses, understands the commercial pressures they face and is confident providing clear, pragmatic advice.

The Role

- Advising SME clients on a broad range of employment law matters.
- Providing day-to-day employment advice as part of an ongoing HR support service.
- Advising on disciplinary and grievance matters, performance management and absence issues.
- Assisting with employment contracts, policies and procedures.
- Advising on dismissals, settlement agreements and other contentious employment matters.
- Supporting clients with employment disputes and tribunal matters where required.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and understanding their individual business needs.
- Providing commercially focused solutions and practical legal advice.
- Managing your own caseload effectively and ensuring files are maintained to a high standard.
- Meeting deadlines and maintaining excellent levels of client service.
- Keeping up to date with developments in employment legislation and case law.

About You

- At least 2 years’ PQE in employment law, or equivalent experience as a Legal Executive.
- Solid experience advising on a broad range of employment matters.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide practical, business-focused advice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and file management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
