QED Legal is working with a firm seeking an experienced and motivated Employment Solicitor to join their Newcastle office. This is a unique opportunity for a well-rounded employment lawyer to engage in a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters within a dynamic and supportive team, working across offices in Newcastle, Leeds, and Tees Valley.

The Role You’ll join the Employment Team, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from SMEs to large corporates. The work is intellectually stimulating and commercially significant, involving:
Advising on day-to-day HR and employment law matters
Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
Handling Employment Tribunal claims (for both respondents and claimants)
Supporting corporate transactions with employment due diligence and TUPE advice
Delivering training and workshops to clients
What We’re Looking For
2+ years PQE with a strong grounding in both contentious and non-contentious employment law
A commercially astute, solution-oriented mindset
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships
A collaborative team player who thrives in a values-driven environment
Ambition to develop professionally and contribute to the continued growth of the practice
