We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Energy Projects Team as a Programme Officer.
The role:
Working with the Programme Manager, you will act as a central point of contact for the Energy Projects Team. This will include management of relationships with the public, customers, internal teams, project developers, and elected members of the authority.
You will provide project management and administrative support to the Energy Projects Team, ensuring the effective day to day co-ordination of the team’s activities to ensure delivery of the team’s aims and objectives.
You will be supporting the Programme Manager to develop programmes and management tools to ensure deadlines are met, calendars are organised, and invoicing/payments are made promptly. This role is key in supporting the delivery of the Council’s role in responding to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP) and determining other major energy projects are achieved in a timely manner.
What you will need:
Experience of Project Management and arranging and co-ordinating events. You will have relevant administrative support experience and of minute taking, preferably in a local authority environment.
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 4 GCSEs including Maths and English along with good numerical skills and attention to detail.
A self-motivated and flexible individual, you will be comfortable working within strict deadlines and have excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, external agencies, elected members and the public.
