PSR Solutions are working with a Rail Manufacturer in South Yorkshire and they are looking to bring in a Project Engineer.

We're hiring: Project Engineer. We're looking for a Project Engineer to join our team and take ownership of technically challenging projects from concept through to implementation, installation and ongoing support

About the Role

This is a dual-purpose role combining technical project ownership, engineering coordination and project management. You'll work closely with Design Engineering and collaborate across the wider business to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required technical and customer standards

Responsibilities

Take technical ownership of projects from concept through to implementation and support
Lead project planning and coordinate interfaces between Engineering, Operations and other internal teams
Translate customer requirements, functional needs and technical constraints into safe, compliant, manufacturable and serviceable solutions
Lead medium-sized development projects and projects requiring a combination of internal development and project management
Provide cross-functional technical leadership, working with internal teams, customers and suppliers
Support projects through the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through installation and service
Identify and manage technical risks, requirements and project interfaces
Ensure solutions are practical, deliverable and aligned with customer and business requirementsQualifications

Mechanical Engineering degree

Required Skills

You'll be comfortable taking ownership, coordinating multiple stakeholders and turning complex or sometimes abstract requirements into practical solutions
You'll also be confident working across departments and with external partners to keep projects moving and ensure successful deliveryPay range and compensation package

£40,000 salary
24 days' holiday, rising to 26 days after 2 years
Eligibility for the company bonus scheme after 1 year
Eligibility for the healthcare scheme after 1 year
