Job Title: Engineering Assessor (Apprentices)

Pension: Standard Professional Pension Scheme Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Contract: Permanent

A premier training provider is seeking an Apprenticeship Coach to support and develop engineering apprentices across the Wiltshire and Dorset region through a blend of face-to-face workshop visits and virtual delivery.

The Role:

Coach, mentor, and monitor apprentices working toward the Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard.

Conduct regular workplace observations, technical assessments, and formal progress reviews.

Manage a dedicated apprentice caseload, providing constructive feedback and preparing apprentices for Gateway.

Maintain accurate compliance records across MIS and e-portfolio learning systems.

Build strong relationships with workplace line managers and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

Level 2 or higher qualification in Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical Maintainer focus).

Recognized teaching, training, assessor, or mentoring qualification.

Proven experience delivering or supporting apprenticeship training programmes and managing caseloads.

Strong digital skills for virtual delivery and detailed action planning.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to regional apprentice sites.

Experience working with military or defense-sector apprentices is highly desirable.
