Job Description - Engineering construction manager
Engineering Construction Manager– Civil Engineering Joining a Framework delivering new pipeline infrastructure from the West Midlands to South Wales.
Salary: - £65,000 basic + Car or Allowance + Package Location: - Worcester / Hereford / Cardiff Role Description The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a Tier 1 contractor who has recently been awarded a 5-year framework upgrading utility pipelines across Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester regions.
Taking on the Civil Engineering responsibility for lifting, temporary works and advising the site teams.
This is a mobile role that involves working from home and on site, providing civil engineering expertise.
The role does not involve managing a site or serving as a project manager for delivery on site.
You will work alongside project managers and oversee civil engineering works as they arise in a program.
Your role will be to ensure that risks are managed, and that documentation and permits are obtained and delivered correctly.
For example, examples of work could include lifting operations for large pipelines being installed, temporary works for excavations, and demolition of existing reinforced concrete structures for the pipework.
You may have 3 to 4 sites needing your support at any one time, hence the need for flexible working depending on what’s required.
This involves managing your schedule between home-based technical support, stakeholder meetings, and site progress reports.
Understanding the technical aspects of civil engineering related to utilities is crucial, especially when working on tasks such as trenching and excavating existing infrastructure.
Due to the location, you must be available to stay overnight if necessary.
Depending on the schedule, you may need to be on-site to supervise a particular set of tasks.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements: Qualified to HNC / HND / Degree in Civil Engineering Lifting operations & Temporary works experience on groundworks/Pipelines Ideally but not essential if you have worked on water, gas, ground excavations or groundwork involving temporary works.
