Elevation Recruitment Group is currently working with a well-established heavy engineering business in Matlock to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished leader to take ownership of the site’s maintenance function and drive operational excellence.

The Engineering Manager will report directly to the Head of Operations and be responsible for leading a team of 12 maintenance professionals, overseeing all maintenance engineering activities across the site, including managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager

• Deliver the site’s CAPEX and major maintenance programmes.
• Lead, coach, and support the rollout of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Planned Maintenance (PM) strategies.
• Ensure effective upkeep, modification, and maintenance of plant, buildings, and equipment.
• Manage and participate in daily engineering and operational reviews.
• Apply robust Project Management Methodology (PMM) across all engineering-related projects.
• Support ongoing facility maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.

We are keen to speak with Engineering Managers with the following:

• An HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering.
  IEng registration or be actively working towards it.
  Strong engineering leadership experience within a heavy industry environment.
• Excellent team leadership and people development skills.
• Solid understanding of engineering budgeting and cost control.
• Experience working in ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certified environments.
