We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team, ensuring our production capabilities remain cutting-edge and efficient. In this vital role, you will oversee all engineering operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the reliability and performance of our machinery. Your leadership will be key to maintaining our production efficiency and upholding our high standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the engineering team to uphold the highest standards of machinery reliability and performance.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes to minimise equipment downtime and maximise production output.
• Collaborate with production management to identify engineering requirements and prioritise projects accordingly.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all production equipment and facilities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices within the engineering department.
• Analyse engineering processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively for engineering projects and maintenance activities.

• Proven experience in an engineering management role, ideally within the food manufacturing or processing industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems relevant to food production machinery.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations as they apply to engineering operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to analyse data and use insights to inform decisions on equipment and process improvements
