A superb opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager to join a supportive and collaborative senior team within a busy FMCG manufacturing site. The company prides itself on a positive working culture where teamwork and mutual respect are at the centre of daily operations.
As Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop the site engineering team, ensuring maximum machinery uptime and driving continuous improvement across the facility. You will be responsible for overseeing both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, managing planned preventative maintenance schedules, coordinating reactive and breakdown support, and implementing long-term engineering strategies aligned with production and business goals.
You will play a key role in health & safety compliance, budget control, contractor management, and the development of engineering standards across site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineering Manager
Proven engineering leadership experience within an FMCG or industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong background managing both reactive and planned maintenance within a fast-paced factory.
Experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
Essential Requirements for the Engineering Manager
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding knowledge.
Recognised Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
Experience managing maintenance systems, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
Desirable Requirements for the Engineering Manager
Previous experience working as an Engineering Manager or Engineering Supervisor in the UK.
Experience working with PLCs and the ability to support fault-finding activities.
Knowledge of CMMS systems and budget management.
