With over 150 years of heritage, the business has established its first international production site in one of its strongest markets. Following a £70m investment, the state-of-the-art facility has been transformed, doubling production capacity and introducing new equipment and automation.

As the site enters its next phase of growth, they are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the utilities and facilities function, driving engineering reliability, operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the brewery.

The Engineering Manager Role

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you'll lead the utilities and facilities team, working closely with Engineering, Production and wider site stakeholders to ensure the reliable and compliant operation of essential site services.

You'll combine strong technical knowledge with people management and strategic planning, improving asset performance, controlling costs and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance.

You'll be responsible for:

Leading and developing the utilities and facilities team, driving performance against key operational KPIs.

Overseeing site utilities, including boilers, steam, refrigeration, compressed air, gas and water systems.

*

Managing maintenance planning, asset reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

*

Ensuring statutory compliance across utilities, electrical systems, health & safety and environmental standards.

*

Monitoring energy and water consumption, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

*

Managing departmental budgets, contractors and external suppliers.

*

Overseeing environmental compliance, waste management and sustainability initiatives.

*

Maintaining GMP, food safety, hygiene and audit standards across the site.

*

Collaborating with the wider engineering team to improve operational performance and engineering standards.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager, Utilities Manager or Facilities Manager with a strong background in manufacturing and the ability to lead people, improve performance and manage essential site infrastructure.

You'll ideally have:

Experience in engineering, utilities or facilities management within manufacturing, ideally FMCG, food or drink production.

*

Strong technical knowledge of industrial utilities, including boilers, steam, refrigeration, compressed air and water systems.

*

Proven experience managing and developing engineering or maintenance teams.

*

A good understanding of statutory compliance, health & safety and environmental legislation.

*

Experience managing budgets, maintenance activities, contractors and engineering KPIs.

*

A track record of improving asset reliability, reducing costs and delivering continuous improvement.

*

Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.

What's on Offer?

Salary: Up to £60,000

*

Bonus: 5% annual bonus

*

Working hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm

*

Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays, with the option to buy 5 and sell 3
