About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Scheduler to join a busy Road Waste Treatment & Renewable Energy Facility based in Manvers.
The Engineering Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling engineering and maintenance activities across the site, ensuring planned and reactive work is organised efficiently and completed safely.
Working closely with engineers, maintenance teams, operations and management, you will help maximise plant availability, minimise downtime and ensure maintenance activities are delivered in line with operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and schedule planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
* Coordinate engineering resources to ensure maintenance work is completed efficiently.
* Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations teams.
* Prioritise work based on plant requirements, operational priorities and safety.
* Allocate jobs to the appropriate engineers and maintenance personnel.
* Monitor progress of scheduled work and provide updates to relevant teams.
* Identify potential scheduling conflicts and resolve them proactively.
* Maintain accurate maintenance schedules, records and work orders.
* Coordinate access, permits and resources required for engineering works.
* Assist with managing planned maintenance programmes and deadlines.
* Liaise with contractors and external service providers where required.
* Monitor outstanding maintenance activities and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
* Support the identification of recurring maintenance issues and opportunities for improvement.
* Ensure all activities are planned in accordance with site health, safety and environmental procedures.
* Provide regular updates and reports on maintenance activity and performance.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Previous experience in an engineering scheduling, maintenance planning, coordination or similar role.
* Experience within an industrial, manufacturing, waste management, energy or process environment would be advantageous.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple teams.
* Ability to prioritise workloads and manage changing operational requirements.
* Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
* Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Good IT skills and experience using maintenance management systems or scheduling software.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
* A proactive approach to planning and coordinating engineering activities.
