Engineering Shift Lead

You will manage/supervise the Department and all Engineer’s. You will be responsible for maintaining the company’s production plant, site facilities and services.

MAINTAIN COMPANY’S PRODUCTION PLANT, SITE FACILITIES AND SERVICES

• General workshop duties such as providing and ensuring breakdown cover for the factory and organising the team.
• Maintaining and repairing physical structures and utility systems of buildings and maintaining grounds utilising the company preventative maintenance software systems.
• Ensuring repairs, maintenance work and routine testing is carried out.
• Managing the control of workshop spares.
• Ensuring planned and unplanned maintenance work orders are completed.
• Overseeing all auditable paper work to ensure it is completed accurately.
• Monitor and assist with the receiving and issuance of site/hot permits to work.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to maintenance and assist in the development of preventative maintenance mechanisms.
• Understand and support KPI improvements

Essential Qualifications:

• Served recognised apprenticeship with electrical and mechanical background
• Numeracy and literacy skills
• Basic IT Skills
• Management and/or Leadership skills

Desirable:

• Experience within a FMCG environment
• Working knowledge of engineering drive systems and electrical control (HMIs, profibus PLCs)
• Hydraulic and Pneumatic fabrication skills
• Forklift Truck Licence
