An Engineering Spares Manager is wanted on a permanent basis by a global Engineering client of ours who is at the forefront of their industry and going through a real period of growth. In this role, the successful candidate will provide in-depth technical support to customers, the wider company and distributors with instant response and quality service from a single point of contact with the ultimate aim to maximise opportunity from each customer contact.

This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £50,000 - £55,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus bonuses and benefits.

Overview of the Engineering Spares Manager role:

• Support the growth of the Spares business and internal sales (systems & solutions, multiple produce companies). Setting margins and maintaining profitability.
• Be the customer interface for approximately 5 product companies, 30 European customer care account handlers, 50 worldwide distributors as well as all group companies and around 2000 English speaking European customers.
• Provide management expertise to a team of between 4-6 individuals who are involved in anything from BOM creation, parts ordering and delivery, dealing with customers queries and requests for quotations.

Key skills required for the Engineering Spares Manager role:

• Previous experience operating in a customer facing role, providing quotations and offering an excellent end-to-end customer service.
• Previous experience working with rotating equipment, pumps, pipes, valves etc
• Possess a degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience in product support or technical sales role.
• In-depth knowledge of the process industry/ Oil & Gas.
