Engineering Support Manager

An unusual role involving giving technical support to colleagues, clients and suppliers to increase service & after sales revenue (60%), some project management (25%). You will also be setting up and running machine trials and demonstrations with clients (15%) for a multi agency supplier of food process machinery sold into the food industry.
 
BASIC SALARY: up to £50,000 Base
 
BENEFITS:
· Annual bonus to earn circa £5,000

LOCATION: Office based near Stamford so should be commutable to Stamford
 
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Peterborough, Leicester, Lincoln, Nottingham, Northampton
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: Engineering Support Manager
 
This Engineering Support Manager role is a hybrid role involving giving technical support to colleagues, clients and suppliers to increase service and after sales revenue, project management working with supplier PM teams and setting up and running machine trials and demonstrations with clients.
 
It is office based, but you will be expected to travel to client sites in the UK & Ireland, 1 to 2 days per week once fully trained, and also to suppliers with clients for trials and demonstrations for 7 to 10 days per quarter.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Engineering Support Manager
 
· You will have a track record in a technical support or after sales working for a packaging or process machinery supplier to the food process industry.
· You will be a qualified Mechanical Engineer.
· You will be commercially aware and will have worked for a small business.
