Engineering Surveyor

Field based inspection engineer required for our client based in Reading to provide LOLER, PUWER inspections on a range of plant. Also involved in this role is LEV examinations, pressure testing and load testing also. The client is looking for a candidate with experience in a similar field of any of the above. This role comes with a competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000 with door to door pay and your day planned out for yourself with a fully kitted out company vehicle. Once probation is complete you also get put onto a rota where for the first week you will work 5 days then 4 days the next week, there is no weekend work or overtime expected with this role with a 40 hour working week. This role requires a manual driving licence.

• Conduct LOLER and PUWER inspections on a range of plant
• This role is covering Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire
• Inspect pressure systems and conduct load and PAT testing also
• Pre-planned route with is planned out for you to attend premises to conduct inspections
• Keep records up to date
• This is a field-based role where the client aims for your first stop to be within an hour of your location
• The occasional need to attend the workshop to conduct inspections
• The client holds a contact that once a year may require staying away for a week but you will be compensated for this
• There is room for progression within this role where the client will put you through more qualifications
• Covering various sites across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire.

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Proven engineering background
• Familiarity with a wide range of lifting equipment; passenger/good lifts, cranes and plant
• Ability to work well alone or part as a team
• IT illiterate
• Qualifications in the inspection industry e.g, LEEA
• Full driving licence
• Good time keeping and organisational skills
• Good administrative skills
